Jaguar
Jaguar is an exotic car manufacturer in the UK based in Coventry, England. Jaguar is currently owned by Tata Motors which is based in India. The company was founded way back in 1922 and was known as the Swallow Sidecar Company. It wasn’t until 1945 that it found its current name “Jaguar”. Jaguar was owned by the Ford Motor Company but was sold in 2007 to its present owners.
The most popular model is the Jaguar XJ which was initially launched back in 1968 and has been considered the main model for the Jaguar brand. Jaguar is also considered one of the safest cars in the world and is only matched by the Mercedes Benz class and the Land Rover.
One of the most popular models presently is the Jaguar X350 which features a decent 400 hp 4.2 L Engine with a top speed of 155mph (249 km/h). It has a quick acceleration time of under five seconds from 0 – 60 mph.
The price varies for Jaguar however some of the top end models can sell for as much as £70,000. Each headrest contains a DVD player for entertainment and has a luxurious interior.
If you are a fan of Jaguar you will want to wait until 2009 to see the new Jaguar X351 due to be released. The styling and interior is expected to replicate that of the XF model, but the engineand floorplan is expected to resemble that of the XJ model.
