Lotus continues to produce high quality cars including the Lotus Esprit. It was originally made in 1976 and production stopped in 2004. It looks very similar to the Ferrari Testarossa.

Lotus is expected to release a brand new remake of the Esprit in 2009. It is said to be worth £80,000 ($130,000). And compete directly with the Ferrari F430 as well as the Lamborghini Gallardo.

The Lotus Exige is another popular Lotus model and is also very popular in North America. It can accelerate from 0-60 mph in under an amazing four seconds. It is said to also be able to go from 0 – 100 mph in just 9.8 seconds.

Lotus is well known for producing high end cars for considerably a lot less then their counterparts making it appealing for sports car enthusiasts looking for a wild ride without paying an arm and a leg. Most cars in this high end price range usually require premium petrol as well as premium oil that can cost a hefty amount of money.
