Mini

 

Mini is a very popular car manufactured in Britain and is widely known as one of the smallest cars ever built. The original mini has been considered one of the iconic symbols of the 1960’s era. It has been compared to the Volkswagen Beetle which garnered huge popularity in North America.

The Mini Cooper was designed by John Cooper who owned the Cooper Car Company and designed the Formula One and rally cars.

The New MINI is owned by BMW and released the millionth Mini on April 3rd of 2007. It only took one month longer to reach this milestone then the original Mini Cooper back in 1965.

The Mini is a very popular car and one of the main features it has is how affordable it is. It is definitely one of the best well made cars and the price is right. The Mini also has superb handling characteristics and can maneuver quite well.

There have also been unproduced prototypes of the Mini that are displayed exclusively at the British Heritage Motor Centre located in the city of Gaydon, Warwickshire. This includes the Twini, which was a reengineered to a four wheel drive vehicle as well as two engines with one situated in the front and one situated in the back.

Other notable facts about the Mini include rock singer Marc Bolan who died when the purple Mini he was a passenger in crashed into a tree in the West London town of Barnes.
